Toy Story (1995)

Corrected entry: When Woody is about to be run over by a truck tire in the gas station, he could've easily moved. The driver wouldn't have seen him.

MikeH

Correction: It was a quick reaction. Buzz ran away as he saw it coming sooner but Woody thought it best to stop moving right away, not knowing where to go. He didn't want to be found in the middle of the pavement in the gas station lights either.

lionhead

Keep in mind that he was going to go further under the truck in a few seconds. There's no reason to suggest that he couldn't have done that earlier. He wouldn't have been seen.

Correction: The driver might not have seen him but there were people in the gas station and on the concourse who could well have done so.

Carlito's Way (1993)

Corrected entry: They play Patti Labelle's song Lady Marmalade. This isn't right for the time line of 1975 as the song wasn't released until 1982.

Correction: The song Lady Marmalade by Labelle was released in 1974 and became a hit in 1975.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens mistake picture

Revealing mistake: After Poe's X-Wing is destroyed, when BB-8 leaves the village and rolls off note all the distinctive hills and sand dunes in front of BB-8. Later, when Rey hears BB-8 with Teedo and she rushes off note the sand dunes in front of her, but after she rescues BB-8 and walks in the opposite direction those same sand dunes are now in front of them, which were also the same sand dunes in front of BB-8 when he left the village the night before.

Suggested correction: BB-8 is heading towards a background at night, the other instances are all near where BB-8 is since they are all focused around him. Rey finds BB-8, only possible if she is near the same background. BB-8 was going towards that background so can only be closer to it than before. Same goes for Finn as they crashed near where BB-8 was, since they were looking for him. They are not the exact same locations but a couple of miles apart, which produces the same background.

lionhead

When Rey rushes toward Teedo and then when she walks away in the opposite direction with BB-8 the very same sand dunes are still in front of her and BB-8. Those sand dunes are also the exact same sand dunes right in front of BB-8 when he left the village. The correction states "They are not the exact same locations but a couple of miles apart", but they are in fact the exact same sand dunes and hills, certainly not miles apart, and I do not mean the general horizon "which produces the same background" (screenshots available).

Super Grover

Corrected entry: This is supposed to take place 18 months after the fight between General Zod and Superman where much of Metropolis was destroyed and leveled, especially where the remains of the World Engine lie, but the city looks completely untouched by these events.

Correction: Its a good possibility Superman helped with the rebuild, shortening the constructions by months.

lionhead

Correction: The statement, "a good portion" of Metropolis has been destroyed, or its permutations, is a fallacy that people continue to promulgate. Observation of key images in Man of Steel, most prominently the point of view shots of the approaching military planes or the images of the city from Zod's ship, wil show that a very small percentage of the city was actually affected - no more than a few square blocks. This fallacy supports a common narrative but it does not meet with observable evidence.

Corrected entry: When Batman is pursuing the orange truck with the Kryptonite in it, at the beginning of the scene the truck is branded "Man" and later on it's branded "Iveco".

ozwal13

Correction: The truck is from the start an "Iveco". Perhaps you are confusing it with the tanker truck, the black one which could be a "Man".

lionhead

Corrected entry: When the stormtroopers run out of the dropship onto Jakku there is a downed stormtrooper at the bottom of the ramp. If you look closely it's just an empty stormtrooper suit.

Correction: It's not an empty suit. You can't see that nor would it be logical. It's just a stormtrooper lying in the sand, probably dead.

Heroes (2006)

Shadowboxing - S4-E9

Corrected entry: Sylar takes over Parkman's body, and has discussions with Parkman, who is a figment and isn't really there. However there are many times when a shadow is cast on Parkman. Most noticeable when they are in the diner in Texas and Sylar threatens to kill Lynette, and Parkman interjects (when Sylar instead takes a straw). You can see Sylar's shadow on Parkman, which isn't possible if he's not really there.

jshy7979

Correction: This is inside Sylar's imagination and in his imagination Parkman is there, thus he imagines a shadow falling over him.

The Revenant (2015)

Corrected entry: When Leonardo is comforting his dying son, he has his hand supporting his son's head. As he dies, with the other hand he takes some sort of necklace from his son's neck and puts it around his own. But he would have had to lay his son's head on the ground and remove his hand in order to do that.

suburn

Correction: His son's head is on the ground as he starts removing the necklace, right after waking up. His left hand was not supporting it. He pulls the necklace over his son's head, as he does so he lifts the head with his left hand and lets it go right after the necklace is clear of the head.

Corrected entry: When Finn pulls Poe to the side of the corridor to tell Poe he's rescuing him, Finn's face changes from sweaty to dry and back again in three successive shots.

Correction: His face is sweaty in all the shots.

lionhead

Correction: No it is not. I have examined all of the shots, and there are certain shots where Finn has beads of sweat on his face, and then other shots, he is completely dry.

Oh come on he is never completely dry. Stop exaggerating.

lionhead

Corrected entry: When the rebel ships drop out of hyperspace above Starkiller Base, the plasma stream from the sun is missing.

Steve West

Correction: That's because they arrived at the other side of the starkiller base, at the weapon itself. The intake of the solar energy is on the other side as you can see on a schematic screen when they start sucking up the star.

lionhead

Corrected entry: When Han and Ren are talking on the walkway, in the long shots it's quite wide, but in the close ups it's very narrow.

Correction: No, the bridge doesn't change its width at any time. The part where Han Solo is walking has arm bars but he walks past those and then it might appear a different width, but it's not.

Jurassic Park (1993)

Corrected entry: When meeting Muldoon, Dr. Grant calls Muldoon "Greg" instead of using the character's first name, which is Robert.

Correction: Actually he introduces himself and says "Alan Grant" but I agree it sounds a bit like he says Greg. Turn the volume up, you can hear it.

lionhead

Corrected entry: In the tank chase scene they use a replica of the VIII tank, or the "international tank." It was a replica and not the real deal but the turret they put on it wasn't from that model tank, or a replica of the original. It was a turret that was used on the Matilda type tank.

Correction: Firstly I think you have the wrong movie. The Tank chase scene you mean is from The Last Crusade. Secondly, the tank is supposedly given by the Sultan of Egypt and some sort of Egyptian variant of the Cruiser VII chassis and the Matilda turret, which was a brand new design in 1938. They mixed turrets and chassis all the time.

Fallout 4

Corrected entry: The Bridgeway Trust Bank has skeletons of customers and staff at the teller counter and in the offices. October 23, 2077; the day the bombs fall in the game, will be a Saturday. Even if the bank had been open on a Saturday, they wouldn't have been fully staffed.

Captain Defenestrator

Correction: They could be skeletons of people trying to flee from the bombs. They could also be from way later as the war happened 200 years before and human remains can become skeletons in a few years.

lionhead

Corrected entry: In Highlander Connor killed Kruger and got the prize, but in this film Kane lives in a cave, so Connor could not have received the prize because there was another immortal alive.

ozwal13

Correction: But the immortals are still alive, and Connor must be the only one alive.

Correction: There were 3 immortals in that cave, but they were shielded off completely from the outside world, not just with rocks but also by a spell.

lionhead

Corrected entry: When Captain America and the Black Widow are in the Quin-jet on their way to rescue the hostages from the ship, Cap speaks into his wrist microphone to say "Secure Channel 7" to ensure that Black Widow's earpiece is working. She replies "Channel 7 secure", but you see that Captain America doesn't put his earpiece in his ear until after Black Widow replies. Cap has no way of knowing if his earpiece works at that point.

Correction: Actually the reason he says "secure channel 7" is just to ask Black Widow to secure channel 7 for them to make sure the hijackers can't hear them. She replies that channel 7 has been secured. Its got nothing to do with checking the earpieces.

Corrected entry: How much ammo can one gun hold? It seems that a single clip can hold enough ammo to run fully-automatic fire for a full minute or more. Example: soldiers need hundreds of rounds to kill one bug, and a soldier can kill several without reloading. Even a conservative 100-200 rounds would be about as much as could physically fit in the clips, yet they seem to provide as much as a thousand rounds each.

DavidRTurner

Correction: This is future tech you are talking about here. It is not unlikely they had made guns that can hold several hundreds of rounds of ammunition when fighting an enemy that doesn't go down easily. The bullets are probably not big at all and the force behind them causes the most damage. That way one of those quite large weapons can hold up to a thousand bullets easily.

lionhead

When the Troopers hand out their guns and ammo to a bunch of kids, the rounds are shown and they are large, so I think this is a valid mistake.

Those rounds don't have to be rounds from those guns. They don't appear to be live rounds anyway.

Iron Man 3 (2013)

Corrected entry: In the beginning, when Stark and Maya are in the bedroom, Stark is sitting on the right side of the bed. However, once the plant explodes and Stark is tackled by Happy, he is suddenly lying on the left side of the bed.

jaarons

Correction: Actually he is on the left side the whole time. The camera is on the bed, therefore you see Tony on the right and Maya on the left.

lionhead

Corrected entry: When Catwoman arrives to blow up the barrier to the tunnel, she puts her glasses/nightvision things down. The shot cuts to the front, and they are up on her head.

Correction: Actually she put them on top of her head and it doesn't cut too the front. They are still there untill she puts them on her eyes again.

lionhead

Corrected entry: Near the end, on the island, Mystique changes into Shaw to command his peons not to attack her friends. She is wearing the correct outfit, despite having never seen Shaw dressed like this before.

Correction: Incorrect. She has changed into him wearing the outfit he had when she met him at the CIA base. The outfit with the red blouse and tie, not the one with all the buttons.
