Yukio kills Viper. It's revealed that Yashida is really alive and the one using the "Silver Samurai" armor made of adamantium. He cuts off Wolverine's claws, starts draining his healing factor and he's saved by Mariko, when she throws one of Wolverine's claws at Yashida's head. Logan/Wolverine pushes Yashida down to the rocks below the facility, then has another "conversation" with Jean Grey, says good-bye and that he will always love her. His claws regenerate and are now his original ones made of bone. Mariko inherits control of her grandfather's corporation and bids farewell to Wolverine, before he and Yukio travel to parts unknown. In the post credits scene: two years later, Logan returns to the U.S. And Magneto and Professor X tell him that they need his help because a great, new threat approaches, setting the stage for X-Men: Days of Future Past.
