The Jackal

Other mistake: When the Jackal is on his boat, you see him set the spinnaker sail, which fills out with air in the shot from above. This sail is only usable when wind is coming from behind. But in the next few shots after the Jackal sits down, the wind is coming from in front of him or slightly to the side, as seen by his hair and the flag behind him blowing. (01:05:20)

Other mistake: The Jackal only test fires 1 shot at the pumpkin target before he tells Lemont to run for the speed test. When he's siting the weapon in on Lemont, the read out on his screen shows that the number of shots fired is 2. (00:58:55)

Other mistake: The heavy caliber high powered mounted machine gun in the minivan with such a high cyclic rate would have recoiled so violently, that not only would the glass in the minivan shatter but it would have rocked the vehicle and kicked it around so that its shots would have been wild and all over the place after the first shot. Unlike how it's shown in the film. We are dealing with a 14.5 MM rapid fire cannon here. And when the gas tank is shot, the van isn't even shaking as the weapon is still firing. (01:43:50)

Other mistake: When the FBI arrive with Declan at Isabella's house, in the top down view there is a dog barking and running towards the incoming FBI vehicles as they park. This dog is only seen in this shot and then is never heard from or seen again - not running up excited, or holding back from fear, still barking. (00:32:05)

Continuity mistake: Near the end of the movie, the Jackal tries to kill the first lady in Washington. This is where the hospital opening takes place. When he flees into the subway station, the name it has is indeed of a station in Washington (Capitol Heights), the subway-cars however are from the Montreal subway system (which ride around on rubber tyres). Isabella: Some nights I can close my eyes... and sleep... and no dead faces come to wake me. That's... that's more than I ever had. You wouldn't have me give that up, would you?
Declan Mulqueen: Give me some credit, will ya?
