Bart Gets An F - S2-E1

Continuity mistake: When Martin does his book report, on the blackboard it says 'An afternoon with Ernest Hemingway: Reflections by Martin.' But when Bart goes up to do his report, the blackboard is clean. (00:01:25 - 00:02:20)

Dead Putting Society - S2-E6

Continuity mistake: When the Flanders and Simpsons first meet at the golf course, Flanders is wearing his usual long-sleeved green sweater over his shirt. After Homer says to him, "The fruit of my loins can beat the fruit of your loins any day of the week", the color of Flanders' sleeves is missing, making it look as if he's wearing a sleeveless pullover.

Lisa's Substitute - S2-E19

Other mistake: While Homer is in Lisa's bedroom trying to make things right with her, there are three pictures taped to Lisa's mirror. After Homer tells her the music may help, in the next shot Homer walks over to stand behind Lisa. Those pictures taped to Lisa's mirror are weirdly behind Homer's reflection, as if the pictures are taped to the wall behind Homer. Three shots later, when Homer tells Lisa he can fix the dollhouse, his reflection is accurate in relation to those three pictures taped to the mirror. (00:19:20)

Bart Gets An F - S2-E1

Continuity mistake: When Bart hands Ms.Krabbappel his final test, there are some shots going back and forth between their faces. During the first shot looking at Ms.Krabbappel, you can see a window behind her, and outside the window, there is no snow, even though there was a whole lot of it yesterday. During the next shot, the snow IS there. As the camera goes back and forth, the snow disappears and reappears.

Bart Gets An F - S2-E1

Continuity mistake: When there is a zoom in of the house just before Bart gets up late, it has the old arch-shaped windows, but in the rest of the episode it has the normal windows. It's obviously a screen from Season 1. (00:06:00)

Bart Gets An F - S2-E1

Audio problem: When Bart calls Milhouse to get the answers to the history test from him, Milhouses voice sounds a lot different from his usual voice. It sounds more like Mrs. Krapabbel's voice. (00:08:30)

Twotall

Principal Charming - S2-E14

Revealing mistake: In the shot of Skinner admiring his tater tots, he is interrupted and lifts up his tray. As he inspects he tilts his tray to at least a 90 degree angle but everything, including the milk, stays in exactly the same spots.

Homer's brain: It's simple, just use reverse psychology.
Homer: Reverse psychology? That sounds too complicated.
Homer's brain: Alright, don't use reverse psychology.
Homer: Alright, I will!

Tree House of Horror V - S6-E6

Question: Homer travels back in time and causes changes by what he does in the past, like stepping on a bug. I once saw a movie with the same basic plot: some people travel back in time and are told to be careful not to disturb anything, but when they return to their time everything has changed. In the end they discover it was because they stepped on a butterfly. Does anyone know the name of this movie?

Answer: I'm not sure if this is the one you're thinking of, but an episode of "Ray Bradbury Theatre," called "A Sound of Thunder," dealt with a similar matter: a group of hunters travel back in time to hunt dinosaurs, only to find things have changed when they get back because someone stepped on a butterfly.
